Seventy-Fifth Birthday Gift

My mother turned seventy-five recently, and I wanted a special gift for her.  I decided to do a colored pencil drawing of her and her parents from when she was a girl. She was very happy with it, and it's now displayed in a place of honor at her house!

Dog Prints Available!

New prints of colored pencil drawings available in my Etsy shop!  These can be customized with your own dog's name, or if you're interested in a drawing of your own pet done in this style, let me know!

A Couple of Adorable Puppies!

I was so excited when I saw the photo of these two pups.  Look how adorable!  The entire time I painted them, my kids were begging to take them home!  As you can see, I changed the angle a bit so that they fit the composition more nicely.

Confirmation Gift

This young girl's mother wanted a small gift for her confirmation.  She'd chosen St. Lucy as her patron saint, so wanted a portrait of her daughter as St. Lucy.  I found a photo of the style of crown St. Lucy was known to wear, and added it to her face.  It's a tiny little piece, maybe 4" tall, but a wonderful memory for a special day in her life!

Colored Pencil Drawings Now Available!

I've dusted off my colored pencils and begun playing around with them again.  Practiced a bit on some celebrity photos, as seen above.  They offer excellent detail and precision, and a completely different vibe than a painting does.

If you're considering a portrait, we can discuss which would be right for you- a painting or a drawing.  Either way I can make you something beautiful!
